I'm Steve Bellovin. For purposes of this blog, I'm an amateur photographer,
and not a birder per se. This mean not just that my identifications are 
likely to be imperfect, it also means that I don't track what birds I've
seen. Instead, I take pictures that I, personally, think are interesting
and/or striking photographically. This means that there will
likely be more herons, egrets, and hawks, but also bluejays and
cardinals—because I like to see and photograph them.
